There was little to like from an unimpressive performance at Bracknell. Northwood's play lacked continuity as they crashed to their first defeat of the campaign.

Admittedly there was little experience from the first team squad in the starting line-up, but Northwood's play lacked the quality to pick a pass in the final third when in promising positions.

Bracknell’s only chances came from sloppy defensive work and individual errors.

The home side scored what proved to be the winner after 60 minutes. Woods conceded a free kick just inside their own half, and their defending was disjointed when a Bracknell forward ripped the defence open and went round Bill Fishenden to find the net.

Changes were made to the Woods side but the attacks were a little too frantic.

Chances fell to Hunt and Lee but they could not convert the opportunities as the home goalkeeper was assured.
